Salary Range: Up to Grade 10 (27,993) – Grade 14 (£33,093).

Description of Position

• Working within non-destructive testing, you will ensure that through Magnetic Particle (MT), Dye Penetrant (PT), Acid Etch (AE), and Visual Inspection (VT) methods, product meets customer requirements.
• Where required you will compile work instructions, as well as other administration tasks.
• Managing inventory within the department will also be required.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)
• Penetrant Flaw Inspection (PT)
• Acid Etch Inspection (AE)
• Perform Control and Calibration tests to ensure full compliance
• Timely completion of administration data
• Carry out inspection tasks in other areas when necessary
• Compile quality reports where required
• May be called upon to work within other areas of the quality department
• Other duties as deemed relevant in the fulfilment of the position

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Qualified to EN4179/NAS410 at Level II standard for Acid Etch (AE), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) disciplines.
• Engineering background ideally within the Aerospace sector
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
• Ability and willingness to work within a team

Desirable

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications preferable
• Computer literate
• Possess strong organisational skills
