| Position Description; Scope of the role; | ||
| • Working within a mainly aerospace manufacturing environment, you’ll be part of a small team with a shared responsibility for a combined annual spend of >£21,000,000.
• You will be managing the performance of key sub-contractors working with external account stakeholders. • Within your role you will develop strategic, tactical and transactional relationships to maximise performance across a diverse supply chain. • The role will require you to liaise with our internal team and sub-contractors to expedite information and deliveries from multiple suppliers to ensure that performance meets business metrics. • Achieving area targets as identified by production management • Works towards specific KPIs ensuring business requirements relating to Quality, Cost and Delivery of purchased products are achieved. • Manage specific projects with key stakeholders in order to improve process efficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives, both within the department and at sub contract suppliers. |

| Supervisory & Line Management Responsibilities | ||
| • Accountable to Operations Manager (Supply Chain & Procurement)
• Responsible in ensuring the External Supply Chain functions effectively, adds value to the business, and that each sub-contractor plays their part in NMB-UK achieving targets set by both Customers and Shareholders. • Responsible for the performance of individual sub-contractors, and the service they provide to NMB –UK • Responsible for achieving specific targets and objectives as set by the Supply Chain/Procurement Manager |

| Main Responsibilities and Activities | ||
| • Responsibility for all aspects of workflow related to sub-contract operations
• Expedite activities / items at various approved vendors to meet the manufacturing requirement as defined by the Supply Chain / Procurement Manager • Minimise lead time between internal production operations • Liaise with sub-contractors on a regular basis to ensure performance is in line with NMB expectations • Ensure that on completion of the sub-contract process, parts handed back to NMB Production are ‘fit for use’ and meet all standards relevant to work storage / documentation packages etc • Maintain the upkeep of accurate information in relation to:
• Communicate information to relevant parties, (both internal and external) • Represent the department at meetings • Work within budgetary requirements • Proactively identify, communicate and implement corrective action plans when schedule goes ‘off-target’ • There is an expectation that you will be flexible within the department. Part of the role will involve ‘hands-on’ activities required to move product to/from the supply chain as well as raising documentation packs for sub-contract operations.
