Sub Contract Trainee Team Member

Salary – Grade 5 (£22,011) with a review after 6 Months.

Description of Position

  • Efficient booking in of sub-contract orders on receipt.
  • Raising and expediting of sub-contract orders
  • Communicating information to/from the Supply Chain
  • Pro-actively review information and support with the necessary actions to ensure departmental KPI’s are achieved
  • Complete CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Level 2 & 3 qualifications, alongside working.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

PO Generation / Despatch

  • Raise Purchase Orders / Creation of Document Package
  • Issue and Clock Operations / Completion of Shop-Packet Information
  • Purchase Order filing

Receipt

  • Match up ‘shop-pack’ with documentation
  • Accurately action Quantity Deviations / Log FAIR’s with QA Department, (as/when required)
  • Supporting the team in closing out the Purchase Order and ensuring parts/order is moved to subsequent operation without delay

Supplier Interaction

  • Regular daily reviews of delivery status, (SUBRAW)
  • Accurate, concise updating of information from the supplier to SUBRAW on a daily basis

Internal Activities

  • Update systems relating to non-conformance, (ENINV/Rework or similar)
  • Communicate issues to the Operations Team, (Delay / Scrap / Rework / Additional Costs due to a non-standard request)

Measures

  • Support the team in attaining departmental KPI’s, by being actively involved in departmental performance

General.

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement within the department
  • Carrying out various hands-on operations across all skill sets to support team objectives
  • Flexibility in working across various functions within the Supply Chain/Procurement Team, and the wider Operations Team as and when required/requested

Experience and Qualifications

  • Applicants should have good communication skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • English Language and Maths to GCSE grade C or above
  • Computer Literate
  • Dependable, responsible contributor who’s committed to excellence and success
  • Good interpersonal skills, (team-worker)
  • Prepared to follow procedures
  • Eye for detail
  • Target orientated
  • Diligent
