Grade Grade 14 (£35,381) to Grade 17 (£41,400) – (TBC based on candidate experience)
Shift Days – (see hours of work for details) – 37 hours a week
Position Description; Scope of the role;
•           Working within a mainly aerospace manufacturing environment, you’ll be part of a small team with a shared responsibility for a combined annual spend of >£21,000,000.

•           You will be managing the performance of key sub-contractors working with external account stakeholders. 

•           Within your role you will develop strategic, tactical and transactional relationships to maximise performance across a diverse supply chain.

•           The role will require you to liaise with our internal team and sub-contractors to expedite information and deliveries from multiple suppliers to ensure that performance meets business metrics.

•           Achieving area targets as identified by production management

•           Works towards specific KPIs ensuring business requirements relating to Quality, Cost and Delivery of purchased products are achieved.

•           Manage specific projects with key stakeholders in order to improve process efficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives, both within the department and at sub contract suppliers.

Supervisory & Line Management Responsibilities
•         Accountable to Operations Manager (Supply Chain & Procurement)

•         Responsible in ensuring the External Supply Chain functions effectively, adds value to the business, and that each sub-contractor plays their part in NMB-UK achieving targets set by both Customers and Shareholders.

•         Responsible for the performance of individual sub-contractors, and the service they provide to NMB –UK

•        Responsible for achieving specific targets and objectives as set by the Supply Chain/Procurement Manager

Main Responsibilities and Activities
•         Responsibility for all aspects of workflow related to sub-contract operations

•         Expedite activities / items at various approved vendors to meet the manufacturing requirement as defined by the Supply Chain / Procurement Manager

•         Minimise lead time between internal production operations

•         Liaise with sub-contractors on a regular basis to ensure performance is in line with NMB expectations

•     Ensure that on completion of the sub-contract process, parts handed back to NMB Production are ‘fit for use’ and meet all standards relevant to work storage / documentation packages etc

•     Maintain the upkeep of accurate information in relation to:

    • Sub-Contracted operations
    • Vendor performance

•       Communicate information to relevant parties, (both internal and external)

•         Represent the department at meetings

•         Work within budgetary requirements

•       Proactively identify, communicate and implement corrective action plans when schedule goes ‘off-target’

•       There is an expectation that you will be flexible within the department. Part of the role will involve ‘hands-on’ activities required to move product to/from the supply chain as well as raising documentation packs for sub-contract operations.

  • Work within the Quality Management System, under the guidelines of BS EN ISO 9001 / BS EN 9100, and any other controls that may be supplemented to meet the specific requirements of customers and regulatory authorities
Hours of work
Overtime available when required

 

Day Shift                           Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 16:00pm

No Premium                   Friday 07:30am to 12:30pm
